Key Responsibilities:

• Contract Review and DraftingReview and draft various entertainment related agreements, including but not limited to, recording, publishing, management, production, endorsement, vendor and touring agreements.
• Ensure that all contracts align with client interests and comply with applicable legal standards.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks during contract negotiation and execution.
• Intellectual Property Management
• Advise clients on intellectual property rights related to music, film, television, and digital media projects.
• Oversee registration and enforcement of trademarks and copyrights on behalf of clients.
• Protect clients' creative works from unauthorized use, including advising on infringement claims and issuing cease and desist letters and take down notices.
• Copyrights and LicensingProvide guidance on copyright law and assist clients with securing proper permissions for the use of creative works.
• Draft and negotiate licensing agreements for songs and other creative content.
• Advise clients on music sampling, synchronization rights, and mechanical licensing issues.

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Tennessee or eligibility for admission within six months of employment.
• 2-5 years of experience in entertainment law or a related field, with an emphasis on IP and contracts.
• Exceptional legal research, writing, and negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with the unique aspects of the entertainment industry.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with creative clients.
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to manage multiple client matters simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
