Facility in Pittsfield, MA seeking Emergency Medicine locums coverage Rates: $325/hr Position Overview
Location: Pittsfield, Massachusetts
Start Date: June 2025
End Date: October 2025
Shifts: 8-hour shifts (Weekend, Evening, Overnight preferred)
Trauma Level: III
Annual ER Volume: 55,000
Beds: 32
EMR: Meditech
Credentialing Timeline: 3 months Clinical Responsibilities
Emergency Department coverage in an 8-hour shift model
No responsibility for inpatient admissions (covered by Hospitalist or admitting services)
No ED responsibility for codes
ED supervises ambulance/paramedics by radio
Approximately 30% of ED patients are admitted daily
Deliveries are directed to Labor & Delivery (not ED)
Support Infrastructure
APP Coverage: Yes
On-call Response Time Requirement: 30 minutes
Full Specialty Backup: As part of a 298-bed teaching hospital
EMR: Meditech
Requirements
Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 5 years of EM Residency)
Active MA medical license Highly Preferred
BLS, ACLS, ATLS (ATLS required at least once in career)
Availability details must be submitted
Local providers strongly preferred
