Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and heavy equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of materials and products within the facility. This role is crucial for maintaining smooth operations in shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment processes.

Duties

• Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks to load and unload materials safely.
• Perform order picking using RF scanners and ensure accurate inventory management.
• Assist in shipping and receiving activities, ensuring all products are handled according to safety protocols.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and compliance with OSHA standards.
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to maintain an organized and efficient work environment.
• Handle heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
• Utilize warehouse management systems for tracking inventory movements and order fulfillment.
• Support other warehouse functions as needed, including materials handling and general maintenance.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in warehouse distribution or similar roles is preferred.
• Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including forklifts and cranes.
• Knowledge of materials handling procedures and safety regulations (OSHA).
• Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues is a plus.
• Experience with order picking processes and shipping & receiving operations.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks (up to 50 pounds) regularly.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment.
