This role involves conducting interviews for Medicare Supplement insurance applicants in a manner that is professional, patient, honest, confidential, and efficient. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of prescription drugs and treated conditions, with a preference for those with a background as Pharmacy Technicians. Experience in customer service, insurance, and medical terminology is needed, along with a detail-oriented mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This is not a remote position and candidates must be local. Primary responsibilities include working scheduled shifts with possible rotation and overtime, conducting phone interviews on outbound and inbound calls, verifying application information, following telephone scripts, using supplemental questionnaires for medical conditions and medications, ensuring accuracy of information gathered, identifying outstanding underwriting requirements, entering completed interviews and requirements into the admin system, and determining if applicants meet underwriting guidelines. The role requires good communication skills, ability to work independently, and comfort in a fast-paced environment with critical and analytical thinking. Requirements include a High School Diploma/GED with one year experience, ability to read and interpret documents, apply common sense to instructions, handle problems with multiple variables, and honesty and respect for company policies. Pharmacy background is preferred. Schedule is Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week.
