SouthWood Corporation is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Healthcare Senior Project Manager with strong knowledge of the healthcare industry to oversee and manage signage projects for hospitals, medical campuses, clinics, and healthcare facilities. This role serves as the primary liaison between clients, internal departments, and vendors to ensure the successful delivery of complex signage projects - on time, within budget, and to exacting healthcare standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage signage projects specifically for healthcare clients from kickoff through completion.
  • Collaborate with healthcare architects, facilities teams, and construction contractors to integrate signage into overall facility design and operations.
  • Interpret and apply healthcare specific codes and regulations (ADA, NFPA, Joint Commission standards) into signage solutions.
  • Coordinate across design, production, installation, and permitting teams to ensure accurate execution of healthcare signage plans.
  • Create and manage project timelines, budgets, schedules, and documentation using project management tools. Coordinate with overall Owner or Contractor project schedule.
  • Ensure consistent communication with healthcare clients and internal teams to manage expectations and resolve issues proactively.
  • Monitor quality control throughout the lifecycle of the project, ensuring compliance with both client and regulatory standards.
  • Track and report project status to leadership; identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Inspire and motivate your team to achieve departmental or project-specific goals, including guidance, mentorship, and coaching to help team members excel in their roles.
  • Manage the budget from development of the conceptual estimate through final payment

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Business or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of project management experience, preferably in signage, architectural products, manufacturing, or construction.
  • 2+ as a leader of project managers or a similar leadership role. 
  • Proficient in reading drawings, sign plans, and construction documentation.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; able to manage multiple complex projects concurrently.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail. 
  • Demonstrated experience in scaling and building high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of -the organization and with customers.
  • Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Epicor)
  • Extensive expertise in project management methodologies, tools, and techniques. PMP certification a plus but not required.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to client sites as needed.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with wayfinding strategies and healthcare environmental design.
  • Understanding of signage materials and fabrication methods.
  • Experience coordinating with vendors, installers, and municipalities for permits.
  • 2+ years of experience working with healthcare clients or in the healthcare facility environment.
  • Strong knowledge of ADA signage compliance, fire codes, and healthcare-specific building standards.
