Job Title: Hydrogeologist

Location: Middlebury, VT

Job Type: Full-time

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Hydrogeologist to join our team. You will work on water resource development, groundwater monitoring, and environmental projects. Your job will include analyzing groundwater flow, collecting data from the field, and preparing reports.

Key Responsibilities:

• Study groundwater flow and identify water sources.
• Monitor water levels in wells and test for contamination.
• Conduct site visits and support drilling operations.
• Use software tools like ArcGIS and other groundwater modeling programs.
• Set up and maintain groundwater monitoring equipment.
• Prepare reports and present findings to the team and clients.
• Help with water source development and permitting.
• Support proposal writing, project planning, and delivery.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, Environmental Science, or related field. (Master’s preferred)
• 10+ years of experience in hydrogeology or related work.
• Licensed Professional Geologist (or eligible to become licensed).
• Good knowledge of groundwater systems and contamination.
• Experience with ArcGIS and groundwater monitoring tools.
• Strong report writing and communication skills.
• Able to work both independently and in a team.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with remote monitoring systems.
• Knowledge of water permitting processes (especially in Vermont or similar areas).
• Ability to manage projects and timelines effectively.
