The Ivy+ Career Link Career Coach provides coaching services to assist students in completing their Career Development Portfolio (CDP). Reports to the Director of Career Coaching and Vice Chancellor of Ivy+ Career Link and works collaboratively with Employer Consultant, Talent Connection Manager, Advisors, K-14 Lead, and other faculty and staff to meet the career planning needs of students and to meet or exceed campus metrics. Major responsibilities include partnering with campus leadership to build strategy and plans to meet college goals, coaching and tracking student progress in career development activities such as resume building, LinkedIn profile creation, mock interviews, employer engagement, and work-and-learn/job placement experiences. The coach ensures students complete at least one work-and-learn experience by the 45th academic hour and promotes career coaching opportunities campus-wide. The role involves developing and analyzing student placement data, employment trends, and collaborating with workforce development personnel to identify skill gaps and plan for workforce readiness. The coach also works to connect students with employer work-and-learn experiences and improve internship placement tools. Participation in professional development and regular meetings with campus leadership is required. The position requires adherence to FERPA and other regulatory requirements. Supervision is received from the Vice Chancellor and Director of Career Coaching. Education and experience requirements include a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred), minimum two years related experience in career development/coaching, proficiency or certification in career assessments preferred, strong communication and organizational skills, commitment to diversity and student outcomes, and willingness to travel to campuses and professional development activities.
