Job Description
Job Purpose
- The Job is responsible for building and managing relationships with various external stakeholders, including government agencies, the National Assembly, civic groups, and the media, to promote the company's interests and create a favorable external environment.
- This role involves explaining the company's policies and positions, gathering external opinions to reflect in business activities, and managing external communication during crisis situations.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Duties include but not limited to the following
- Develop Government Relations Strategies: Establish strategies for building and managing relationships with key external stakeholders, including government, the National Assembly, civil society, and the media, based on the company's business goals and external environment analysis.
- Manage Government and National Assembly Relations: Maintain regular communication with relevant government officials, members of the National Assembly, and their aides to explain the company's policies and issues and promote cooperation.
- Manage Civil Society Group Relations: Build relationships with civic groups and NGOs, enhance mutual understanding, and explore cooperation opportunities when necessary.
- Manage Media Relations: Build and maintain relationships with journalists and producers to enhance the company's positive image and effectively respond during crisis situations.
- Plan and Execute External Events and Activities: Plan and execute events, meetings, and forums targeting government, National Assembly, media, and civil society stakeholders.
- Analyze Policies and Legislation: Analyze government policies and legislative trends that affect the company's business and develop response strategies.
- External Communication: Prepare and distribute the company's official positions and press releases, and effectively manage external messages.
- Crisis Management: Quickly assess the situation when negative issues related to the company arise, develop external communication strategies, and minimize damage.
Job Qualifications
- Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Public Relations, Law
- Experience
- At least 10 years
- Other information
- Drivers license in LA.
Required Knowledge & Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Understanding of government, the National Assembly, media, and civil society.
- Policy analysis and planning skills.
- Crisis management and situation handling abilities.
- Document writing skills (reports, press releases, etc.).
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, etc.).

Preferred Qualification
- 10+ years of experience in leadership (or similar role) in the community
- Established network in relevant fields.
- Experience working with government or the National Assembly.
- Media relations experience
- Fluency in English or other foreign languages.
