Job Description

As a Security Officer Hotel Front Desk in Laguna Beach, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more.

As a Front Desk Security Professional at a premier hotel and resort location, you will be the first point of contact for guests and visitors, helping to create a welcoming and secure environment. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and providing outstanding customer service while assisting guests with their inquiries. You will remain attentive to the flow of people within the lobby area, helping to deter security-related incidents through your visible presence and strong communication skills. What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service to guests and staff at the location by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Monitor access to the premises from the front desk, verifying identification and/or guest credentials as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
• Maintain detailed logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences at the front desk.
• Communicate professionally with guests, staff, and emergency personnel as needed.
• Assist with emergency response activities, including following evacuation or lockdown procedures when necessary.
• Support hotel operations by addressing guest inquiries and/or directing visitors appropriately while maintaining security-related awareness.

• Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
