We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Protein Engineer to join our stealth-stage biotech startup. The successful candidate will develop novel biologics for geriatric disorders. This is a unique opportunity to shape the direction of our protein engineering efforts. We are looking for someone who has broad familiarity with modern antibody discovery and protein engineering techniques, strong problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn quickly. Location: San Francisco, CA Key Responsibilities: ● Lead antibody discovery campaigns conducted externally with CROs partners and evolve leads internally using phage or yeast display libraries ● Use protein engineering techniques to develop protein fusions with optimized expression, pharmacokinetics, and developability properties ● Develop and optimize moderate- and high-throughput assays to screen and characterize engineered protein variants
