Role Summary:

We're looking for a diligent and empathetic Social Media Moderator to join our team and help us cultivate a thriving, positive online community across our social media platforms. In this role, you'll be the guardian of our brand's online presence, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for our users while upholding our community guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Moderation: Review and moderate user-generated content (comments, posts, images, videos) on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and others, as well as content syndication platforms, to ensure adherence to brand and platform guidelines.
  • Internal Content Review: Conduct quality control (QC) and brand standard review of internal content prior to posting for public consumption, ensuring accuracy, tone, and brand consistency.
  • Community Management: Actively engage with our online community, responding to user inquiries, addressing concerns, and escalating complex issues to the appropriate teams when necessary.
  • Guideline Enforcement: Consistently apply and enforce our community guidelines to maintain a respectful and constructive online environment.
  • Inappropriate Content Identification & Removal: Proactively identify and remove offensive, abusive, spammy, or harmful content, including harassment, bullying, and hate speech.
  • User Support: Provide timely and helpful responses to user questions, offering customer support and resolving issues related to our brand or products.
  • Event Engagement: Work flexible hours when necessary to support and moderate live events or campaigns, ensuring a positive real-time community experience.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Generate reports on moderation activities, identify emerging trends, and provide valuable feedback to the social media team to optimize our strategies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other team members on marketing campaigns, content strategies, and various initiatives to enhance our overall social media presence.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Communications, Marketing, Media Studies, or equivalent relevant experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in social media moderation, community management, customer support, or a related role.
  • Experience working with content syndication platforms and social media management tools is a plus.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in major social media platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
  • Familiarity with content moderation tools, social media analytics, and reporting dashboards.
  • Strong command of written English, with the ability to edit and review content for clarity, tone, and brand alignment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in content review.
  • Flexibility to adapt to evolving social media trends and work schedules, including occasional evening or weekend hours for live events.
