Summary

Provides community outreach and education for LVHN Trauma Program in accordance with the Network Missions and Pennsylvania Trauma Society Foundation Standards.

Job Duties
  • Assists LVHN and trauma affiliates with injury prevention education and training for their accreditation/re-accreditation.
  • Coordinates marketing efforts with the Marketing Department, EMS, Interfacility Liaisons, and the Development Department.
  • Provides in-patient injury prevention education in conjunction with patient care services.
  • Evaluates programs and presentations for efficacy, efficiency, quality of presentation, and appropriateness of the information.
  • Provides injury prevention education and training in the community.
  • Develops new injury prevention programs based upon the needs of the community and identified injury trends.
  • Provides child passenger safety education to the community and network.
  • Obtains and organizes all program safety materials for injury prevention education and outreach programs.
  • Identifies and pursues needed monetary and staff resources for program development and support.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree Health Education or related field.
  • 3 years Community or Public Health educational experience.
  • Nationally Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician Instructor - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
  • Nationally Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
Physical Demands

Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
