American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Long Term Care for a travel nursing job in Kalispell, Montana.

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 12-hour night shift Skilled Nursing Facility position, requiring an MT or compact RN license and BLS certification.

\n \n Responsibilities\n
  • Work in the Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) including both LTC and Transitional Care Unit (TCU) settings
  • Patient population consists of geriatrics and post-acute med/surg cases
  • Patient ratios are 1:38 for LTC nights and 1:15 for TCU nights
  • Shifts are 12-hour nights, typically 18:30-07:00
  • Weekend rotation is required to balance the schedule
  • Floating is required between LTC and TCU units
  • EMRs used are Meditech and Caretracker
  • Medication dispensing is done via Pyxis, and IV pumps are utilized
  • No telemetry monitoring is required
  • May be asked to serve as charge nurse during assignment
  • Team structure includes CNA support, receptionist/HUC on weekdays, and phlebotomy and IV/VAT team support from the hospital
  • Orientation consists of one or possibly two shifts
  • Navy blue scrubs are required
  • Holiday coverage is expected as needed
  • Work environment is described as team-oriented with a strong sense of longevity
  • Parking is available on site
  • First-time travelers with relevant LTC or SNF experience may be considered
  • All requested time off must be approved up front before contract initiation

  • Active MT or compact RN license
  • Current BLS certification
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience required
  • Experience in SNF, LTC, or similar post-acute settings is preferred for first-time travelers
  • Proficiency with IV skills, chest tube maintenance, wound care, tube feeding, TPN, drains, and central line care
  • Must be comfortable assuming a charge nurse role as needed
