Job Description

Masis Staffing Solutions is assisting our client in searching for a Purchasing Coordinator (bilingual) in Carterville Georgia. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is required. Position is temp to perm with good career opportunity. You will be responsible for purchasing a wide variety of material, equipment and services.

Starting Salary: $20 per hour

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8am to 6pm

Position Type: Initially full-time temporary with opportunity to convert to permanent position

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain business relationships with various vendors and suppliers
  • Support operations by purchasing materials, equipment and services in a cost effective manner
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, evaluate and maintain a reliable, competitive and economical supply chain.
  • Generate and distribute bid packages.
  • Perform independent analysis on capabilities of prospective new suppliers .
  • Locate and develop a consolidated supply base to meet sourcing requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with Planning, Quality and Engineering to maximize customer service, ensure schedule adherence, assure quality, minimize inventory and manage efficient launch of new items.

Experience and Educational Requirements:

  • 2 or more years experience in purchasing, planning, accounting or customer service
  • High school diploma; college degree is a plus
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is required at least at a conversational level
  • Good MS Office skills
  • Ability to work in team environment.
